Once again this term we were restricted to presenting our assemblies in a digital format. While we missed our families being able to attend, the children who participated created some amazing memories!
The Year 2s gave us our first digital assembly for the term as they celebrated all things ‘mum’ in their beautiful assembly dedicated to Mother’s Day. They also read the delightful story by Leah Russack Supermum, and shared why they love learning!
The Year 3 group did an amazing job of narrating the hilarious story of the Grinny Granny Donkey by Craig Smith.
Mel’s Pre-Primary group visited the zoo, where they learned a thank you song.
I touch the land,
I touch the sky,
I touch my heart and this is why,
The Noongar people cared for this land,
And that is why we say thank you, where we stand.
They also investigated the many questions they had about zoos. The best question was ‘What do they do with all the poo from the animals at the zoo?”
In year 5, Margot’s group shared their learnings on the notorious Ned Kelly. You can watch the video here.
Quintilian News Report was presented by the Year 4s. They showed us some wonderful places to visit during winter in WA, discussed the Noongar seasons and interviewed Principal Neil and others around the school.
And last but definitely not least is the Sheddies assembly from last week. They told us why they love learning and they presented the 100 Languages of Children by Loris Malaguzzi.
Throughout all the assemblies, the children mention the Quinny Hi-5 which is our student code of conduct. A common topic throughout the term, and showing up in all the assemblies has been the first of these, I love Learning.
Well done to all our students and teachers in creating these wonderful digital masterpieces to share with families throughout the term.
