Our wellbeing theme at Quintilian throughout March is Self-Compassion.
As many of you already know, we care about wellbeing – the wellbeing of our teachers, our families and our students. Our wellbeing Coordinator Kirsty assists the whole school with activities and lessons that inspire conversations and learnings on various wellbeing topics.
One program we partner with is the URStrong Friendship Program, an internationally recognised friendship program that empowers children with the skills, language, and self-confidence to be better friends and develop healthier relationships.
This is a whole-school strategy embraced by Quintilian, which creates a culture of kindness and is based on the belief that children with healthy friendships perform better academically, have higher self-esteem, get involved in more leadership roles, and make smarter decisions in future relationships.
During March, the focus will be on Friendship is…Self Compassion. Quintilian students will explore how self-compassion helps to create healthy friendships and that to have feel-good friendships with others, they need to know how to treat themselves like best friend first!
